Welcome to Light for Life

Archbishop Desmon Tutu said:

"There comes a point where we need to stop pulling people out of the river. We need to go upstream and find out why they are falling in".

Prevention is the key to homeless.

Sadly, there are an increasing number of people who have not yet found safe shores and our mission at Light for Life is to find ways of bringing those people to safety.

Dr Andy Knox said "we need to understand that the way our society functions is deeply traumatic for many people" and we know that this is the case and must take action to change this and respond in ways that increase engagement and develop a "compassionate curiosity" (Knox).

We work in partnership with Mersey West Lancs Teaching Hospital NHS Trust, St. Marks Medical Centre, PC24, Change Grow Live, Faculty of Homelessness Health Inclusion and Complete Care Communities.

We also have working arrangements in place with Sefton Council (Housing/Adult Social Care/Children, Schools and Families), Mersey Care, Sefton CVS, and a range of voluntary, community and faith groups across Sefton.
